Offshore staff for digital agencies

Scope an offshore agency hire around project coordination, content, design or development, with clear briefs, review points and client approval boundaries.

Four frosted cobalt, ivory and pale blue panels fanned out like blank artboards.

An offshore hire can give a digital agency a dedicated owner for recurring delivery work, from project coordination and content production to design, development or campaign support. Choose the responsibility first. The right person depends on the work, technical depth, client expectations and review capacity of your agency.

Ramp Remote connects businesses with offshore talent in the Philippines. Tell us which part of your delivery process needs support, and we can discuss the experience and availability required. The examples below are roles to scope, not a claim that every specialism is currently available.

Match the role to the delivery bottleneck

  • Project coordination: maintain briefs, task ownership, feedback and agreed deadlines across client projects.
  • Content and social support: prepare drafts, organise approved assets and schedule agreed content.
  • Design production: adapt approved creative and prepare deliverables against a clear brand brief.
  • Web development: discuss the actual stack, implementation work, testing and review responsibilities.
  • Campaign operations: prepare reporting, organise campaign assets and carry out authorised changes within agreed limits.

A project coordinator, designer and developer solve different problems. Combining several disciplines into one brief makes it harder to assess fit. Start with the responsibility consuming the most recurring delivery time.

Make your agency workflow part of the brief

Describe the client mix, weekly workload, tools, working hours and person who reviews the output. Share an anonymised brief and a finished example. Explain where feedback lives, which version is current and who has authority to approve client-facing work.

Assess the candidate's own contribution to relevant work. Ask how they handle incomplete briefs, conflicting feedback and a deadline that cannot be met. A useful conversation covers the decisions behind the result, not just a portfolio image.

A handover example: coordinating client feedback

Illustrative example: the coordinator gathers comments on the current version, groups them into actionable tasks and assigns each to the agreed owner. The agency lead resolves scope and approval questions. The record shows what changed, what is awaiting a decision and the next agreed deadline.

Exception: if two client stakeholders give conflicting instructions, flag the conflict and seek one approved direction before production continues. Do not silently choose a preference or promise extra scope.

Failure and retry: if publishing or file delivery reports an error, check the destination and activity history before trying again. Record which version was delivered so the client does not receive duplicate or outdated work.

Keep quality and permissions clear

Begin with a bounded project or recurring task and review completed work against the original brief. Agree who can contact clients, change campaign budgets, deploy changes or publish content. Expand responsibility when the person and your review process are ready.

Confirm the commercial scope in writing: working hours and overlap, recurring client cost and currency, separate fees, software licences and the process for changed responsibilities. The quote checklist helps compare equivalent arrangements.

Questions agencies ask

Can the person work in our existing tools?

List the tools and the tasks they must perform in them. Discuss relevant experience and any onboarding needed rather than assuming a familiar product name proves the required skill.

Can they work directly with our clients?

Make that a specific requirement. Assess communication and role experience, then agree the contact permissions, escalation path and decisions your agency retains.
